A much longer driving time – some lithium batteries can reach 60-80 miles on a charge, while lead-acid can only get about 15-25 miles
Faster charging time – lithium batteries can fully recharge in just a few hours, while lead-acid batteries can take almost a full day if run down very low
Less weight on the golf cart – only one lithium battery is needed to power the cart as opposed to six or eight lead-acid batteries, which can remove over 300 pounds of extra weight
No maintenance – lead-acid batteries require regular maintenance like waterfilling and terminal cleaning while lithium batteries do not
